We will provide the services that would be included in the Chief Information Officer function within your organization. These include organizational Needs Analysis; periodic Information System Review; development and monitoring of an Information System Acceptable Use Policy; establishing Information System budgets; and handling the Information System strategic and tactical issues related to achieving your organization’s short and long term goals.
At the commencement of our relationship, we will review your existing Information System, along with its documentation and your current policies and procedures. We will make recommendations to improve the fundamental performance and develop a plan for modifications, upgrades, and replacements. As we come to understand your operations better, we will make more specific recommendations through this planning process.
We will meet with you each quarter to review business objectives that generate Information System requirements. We will review the status of your Information System initiatives and make adjustments to the plans for the coming quarter. Once each year, we will review the complete inventory of Information System equipment and develop a retirement, rotation, or upgrade plan for the coming year.
We will also participate in your annual planning, to the extent you desire, in order to determine future directions for your Information System that will make it more suitable to helping you accomplish your business objectives. Wherever possible, we will provide cost estimates for budgeting purposes.
The primary purpose of our planning process is to ensure that your Information System investment is generating the maximum return to your organization. Additional goals include minimizing the variation in your Information System spending, and avoiding the “sudden obsolescence” of your investment.
